Hi Bill,
I believe you will need time worked/experience as well to sit for the exam. Many Cities hire entry level wastewater treatment operators, which allow employees to gain experience for the exams. At this time we are looking for a candidate with more experience than entry level.

Thank you for vetting back to me. I thought i would be able to get that level 2 within six months of hire. That is why I did not pursue getting the certification. I will look into that.

The current Assistant Wastewater Operator position requires at least a Level 2 Operation Wastewater treatment certification. This certification is a Minimum Qualification Requirement of the position.
