Importance: Normal

The total tonnage for the project is 3,742 tons @ $75 per ton equating to $280.6K

For typical roadway section that is 40-ft wide it would be approx.. $29.2K per mile.

So, if I said “there are 5,345 tons in a typical roadway mile at a cost of $75 per ton,” that would be correct?

And is that really $75 or should it be $7,500 or even $75,000???

Depends on the thickness of the AC and width of the road. All vary on the project.

Typical section

(40’ wide)*(4” Thick)* 1mi(5280’/mi) = 70,400 cf/(27cf/cy) = 2,607 cy * 2.05 Ton/cy = 5,345 Tons in a typical roadway section for 1mile

Stowers, Grange & Heintz, plus additional patch work = 280,663 tons @ $75,00
