I recommend the library requests quotes from 3 or more HVAC companies and repairing the unit asap. The contractor will need a few dry days to install a new unit.

Dan,
Thank you for this and I will keep it in confidence.
A few questions, any thoughts on how will this affect the library and our lease with the school district? I am in the process of figuring out how to replace the air conditioning unit and other improvements. Should I hold off on those for now? While I realize it's fall and the weather is turning, there are still some warm days ahead and staff need the cooling. Please advise as to how you would like me to proceed.
Again, thank you for this update.

Team – Please consider this a confidential e-mail in all aspects.
The School District sent us a demand letter to either reopen the pool or we would be subject to the District enforcing requirements of the lease. This letter does not represent the discussions I have had with the Superintendent or the path that the City has set out to work with parties interested in reopening the pool. The pool causes extreme hardship on not only the City of Molalla as an entity but also the people who live in this City and the businesses that we are serving. I am inclined to eliminate all partnerships we have with the District especially those that require our participation without compensation from the District. So, prior to committing to any past or future services to the District however large or small, please check with me specifically in those matters. I believe that solving this problem for the City as well as the community as a whole is very important to our near future.
In other words I will fight back and fully expected to be here. The consequence for us is we need to respond to their demand. The consequence for the District is they may have lost a partner. I will be chatting with Chad Jacobs on our next move. This is confidential please keep it that way.
