Importance: Normal
Yes, I would like mechanical restraints to be used whenever possible on the waterline for the fire hydrant system. They can use whatever the plumbing code allows and the county approves for their own system since we will not be maintain it.
Have a great weekend yourself J

Subject: 15202-01 Stoneplace Apts - MultiTech Call RE Waterline
Hi Jen,
Mark Grenz of MultiTech contacted me about the waterline and requested the use of mega-lugs for the waterline versus thrust blocking. You sent me a comment earlier preferring restraining in lieu of thrust blocking so I told Mark that it would be fine provided dead-end runs were restrained by a straddle block or other approved method. He said he would submit calculation for the restraint of the waterline along with the plans for our review and approval. I had no issue with his approach to the public waterline. You should be receiving those calcs with the revised plans when Jeff submits them. Have a good weekend.
