Hi Jennifer,
Attached is a copy of our contract. If all looks good then initial where shown, sign back page, and send back to me. I’ve also included an updated proposal corrected for a typo in the first sentence of the scope of services. I added language in the contract at the end of the scope of services that allows you to add scope by amendment as needed. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks and have a good evening.

Hi Jennifer,
I modified the assumption to 10 days in the proposal and made the edits to the proposed schedule for the 10 day review time and starting the optional tasks after July 01. No problem if your folks need more than 10 days due to workload. I will keep working on the items in Task 1 and we’ll catch up as time allows in your schedule. I’ll keep track of our progress during the project so we have an idea of end dates for Task 1. Let me know if you want to use your contract documents for this project or I can send you our services contract, whatever is easiest. Once executed, I will start work on Section 1.
I am headed down to the APWA conference in Eugene Wednesday thru Friday and will be out of the office on a short vacation next Monday & Tuesday. No other planned days off until around August. Thanks again Jennifer.

Hi Gerald,
Finally I had a moment to read through the Project Description. Here are my comments, Dan may have some as well.
· Scopes 1 – 4 look acceptable to me. However, budget wise the can only commit to Scope 1 for this FY, in July we can begin the Scopes 2-4
· 5. City Code Modification – We definitely want to do this, however we are currently working with DLCD to overhaul the entire code. I know there will be a comment period and that’s when it will be appropriate time to review the draft and comment. I’m don’t have a good feel when that may be.
· 6. Public Process – Will follow Scope 5 when appropriate.
· Assumptions 3. Please provide me with up to 10 business days. It may not take me 10 days, but we are short staffed at this time and paving is coming up soon which will require more of my time for sure.
· Assumptions 4. I agree to adopt DEQ standards for new construction of lift stations.
Appreciate you taking the time to put this Scope and Budget together.
Looking forward to working with you on these projects,
Jennifer Cline, P.E.

Hi Jennifer,
Please see attached proposal for development of a the public works standards for Molalla. Preparation of standards can take up to approximately one year when starting from scratch but since I have already worked on standards for other agencies, I’m sure we can complete the written format before the end of this fiscal year. Other items listed as optional can be done as time and funding allows with the goal of adopting a set of standards and then ultimately operating independently from state agency review. Let me know if you have any questions or want to discuss approach and alternatives. Thanks again for the opportunity.
