Importance: Normal

Hi Karen,

I appreciate the update and thank you for all the hard work everyone has been doing.

I would be more than willing to help submit a PED/BIKE application for OR 212, however my time has been extremely limited lately. Please let me know what direction we should go?

Regards,

Jenn Cline

Local Agency Partners,

Thank you for submitting an application for Systemic Safety funding through ODOT’s All Roads Transportation Safety (ARTS) program. We received a total of 72 project applications within the following categories: roadway departure (13 applications), intersection (50 applications), and pedestrian/bicycle (9 applications).

We only received 40% of the funding amount from pedestrian/bicycle applications so we are looking at several options to determine more of those projects.

ODOT has completed the pre-screening to determine completeness of the applications. The applications are now being reviewed by Kittelson & Associates, Inc. As of April 10, KAI reviewed 25 applications, focusing on the calculated benefits and estimated costs. No major issues have been identified to date – good job applicants!

Where any errors or omissions are identified, KAI will edit the forms and send the revised application materials to each applicant for their confirmation to amend the application. Please watch your inbox over the next two weeks and be prepared to provide a quick response to any requests for additional information or confirmation of proposed changes.

The applications will be prioritized based on benefit-cost or cost-effectiveness index. The prioritized draft 150% list of project applications will be distributed around the second week of May.

Thanks,

Katherine S.C. Burns, P.E.
