Attachments: image001.png; Hi Mark, We are working through a solution to vac out the media under the tank to identify the leak location. Once that is done Westech, is going to work with us on a repair solution. I appreciate all your help on the matter. Your guidance was very helpful and I believe they understand our financial stand point now as well. Once the repairs are identified and we determine whether a contractor needs to be hired, would you like me to contact you for a quote for the repairs? Is this something you could help the City with? Have you had any more luck with your tank leak? Let me know if there is anywhere I can help. If nothing else as a sounding board. You would think that a tank of that nature would have at least a 20 year +/- life expectancy based on what it is used for and the difficulty in replacement. I think a call to Gobal Sampson might be in order. Have you looked at the project specifications? What do they say warranty specific for the project and the tank in particular? I have some concerns that this failure is too premature. That step may have been omitted on the one tank? Have a look it may be apparent by comparing the problem tank to the other three. Regarding the warranty, I’m with you I did not see much there. Have you talked to the manufacturer? You might try and contact Goble Sampson. They are the local reps and you could apply a little owner pressure to get some representation. I’m sure they would love to work with you on the next addition on site. They’re a good company I have dealt with them in the past. Hope I have helped a little bit. If you don’t get any traction from the manufacturer or the local rep let me know and we’ll have a look at what we can do to remedy the problem. It talks about a warrantee, but no specific information on what that is. They did not tell me much more than the pictures. My suggestion at this point is to contact the manufacturer regarding the tank rusting to get a little more information on warranty and/or their suggested repair. At that point a visit makes a little more sense. We can have a look and discuss the manufacturer’s suggested fix or the possibility of repair or replacement. If you don’t think that you are going to get any traction with the manufacturer let me know and I am more than willing to come out and discuss the options. It appears each filter is 13.5’ in diameter and just over 12’ tall. I will send additional manufacturer information when available. Please let me know when you’re available to make a site visit to the plant.
