Hi James,

Attached are the Public Works review comments of your plans along with a copy of the City Standards for water distribution. Please let me know if there are any comments or questions.

Please ensure the attached City standards are in line with the notes on the plans. For final approval for construction please ensure the following;

· the plan updates have been made,

· OHA has approved the updated plans as well,

· I receive a permit for work in the R/W that includes a traffic control plan,

· approval from Molalla Fire has been granted;

· and an easement (15ft) will be granted to the City for access and maintenance.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Cline, P.E.

Subject: 2nd Hydrant - Location Issue

Importance: High

Good morning Mike. I am trying to finalize plans for our private hydrant line. One element I need to resolve ASAP is the issue you brought up yesterday with regard to the location of the second hydrant. Will you allow us to locate the second hydrant, as we have planned, since moving it 100’ closer to the first hydrant would place it in a very dangerous position. If I can get your approval now, I will likely head to Portland later today to submit plan reviews for Oregon Health Authority approval of our hydrant line. I know you would like us to move it back, but that is a disaster waiting to happen for the second hydrant. I have been in contact with OHA with regard to their reviewing / approving our plan design. They are willing to expedite our review process to get approval to us ASAP so we can proceed to construction – perhaps even by Thursday. Paving began yesterday on our site and time is of the essence to us. Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again Mike for your assistance and consideration of our request.
