Nic should be backing up or saving all the files on the server. He should not be storing anything on his C/:drive unless he’s using it as a backup. That is a huge risk to the City.

I save everything on the Z/: drive for public works.

It came up again yesterday because Nic’s computer took all morning to update and he would have benefitted from having his files on an external source. Likewise, I could benefit from having my files portable.

Generally, it would be nice to have a physical backup.

Is this something we are needing now. MCC backs up our files every night to their server so I don’t see a need to have this as back up as well.

We will also be getting one of these when they are done with the CCTV project to hand over the files to us. I would like to wait.
