Do you have a CAD drawing with your title block and such that you could send to me?

Yes, definitely I definitely would like a detail for the City to use. I do not see any standard drawings for sanitary on ODOT’s site as well.

Thank you,

Hi Jennifer,

Attached is Silverton’s version of a deep lateral service. This has worked well for the City in the past and I recommend you get a copy of this in CAD, or I can do it for you, from Silverton and make it one of your own. The problem I have with the one proposed is that whenever a tire drives over that vertical riser it has the opportunity to impart a load on the main which could crack the main or drive the riser into the main causing and obstruction. The one attached won’t allow for that to happen and a cleanout can be installed at the right of way or edge of easement (see detail with CO 1 foot off ROW) for cleaning purposes. Also, the crews aren’t trying to access the lateral in the street with traffic if the cleanout is at the ROW or easement line. Let me know if you would like us to create this detail for you to review and mark-up before final version. The other thing I like to see is that the connection to an existing main has the locate wire spliced and sealed inside of a gel cap. The crews then can test it and verify tone before paving is allowed. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Gerald,

Do you know about these risers? Looks like it 90’s directly into the top of the main.

We have a resident requesting to make this connection due to the sanitary line being quite deep. I know this is not a typical preferred method of connection.

Nicolas,

Attached are two pdf’s. one is my ODOT permit and the other is a detail Randy Singer I&E’s civil Project Manger wants to use when he connects the sewer. Can you take a look at this and get back to us with your thoughts?

Because of all the utility’s in the are, Randy thinks this will be the easiest way to get around them. If I understand Randy correctly, I don’t think he plans on using 2 Y’s but just one. This is a detail he used on one of our old jobs.

Thanks

Hi Trofim,

I have worked with the public works director to authorize the ROW permit from the city of Molalla for your work at 951 W Main St. We would like a copy of the ROW permit from ODOT for our records. The permit is available to pick up at city hall pending any changes to the utilities plan.

Thanks, call/contact me with questions.
