Bear Creek Discharge
On Monday at 2:30pm, the plant began discharging water from Lagoon 2 to the catch basin that drains to Bear Creek. Here are the following flows.
24 hour Discharge to Bear Creek Flows: 1200 gal/min or 1.728 MGD
Permitted discharge to Molalla River: 3.8 MGD
Total 24 hour Plant Discharge: 5.528 MGD
Lagoon 2 is currently at 13.9 feet. We need to see both lagoons operating at a safe level of 11 feet before ceasing discharge to Bear Creek. The maximum specified operational elevation for both lagoons is 12 feet. Discharging the lagoons down to 11 foot elevation provides the plant a foot of fluctuation for standard operations.
