FYI,

This is ridiculous. A quote to identify the problem and make a site visit to provide a quote for the repair? Never heard of this.

I have a few contacts for contractors in the area that do this type of work. I’m sure they would be willing to come to the plant for free.

Subject: WesTech on Gravity Filter Leak

Jason,

The WesTech engineering group for the gravity filters say that the cause or location of the leak of media and water cannot be determined from the photographs. They recommend that WesTech come to your site, climb under the tank, and determine what has failed. This would be an inspection visit only. Attached is a quote for that visit.

Once the problem is determined, WesTech would need to return for a second visit to repair the issue. The second visit would be quoted based on the trip report from the first visit. The corrective action could be as simple as replacing a failed nozzle, or be more difficult as patching a corroded area.

Subject: gravity filter #1 leak

David,

Here are pics of gravity filter #1 that has holes underneath the tank. Pic #1 is the top of the filter looking down. No media or water. Pic #2 is on the west side of the filter. Sand and water on the floor. Pic #3, I’m facing east. The leak occurred where the bolt is holding the tank to the foundation. If you have questions, please contact me.

Thanks,

Jason Clifford
