Hi Curtis,

Upon meeting on-site with Jennifer Cline, Garrett Edmunds, Dave Elsner, Mike Greenleaf and Mark Nelson Structural engineer, here is the revised plan for the waterline on Heintz Ave. There will be no connection to the existing 12” PVC on Molalla Avenue.

1. The two (2) 10” gate valves and one (1) can be used on Stowers Rd Waterline.

2. Items A-4 will be changed to (2) 10” gate valves as opposed to (4)and A-9 will be changed to (2) 10” compression coupling as opposed to (3) when you order the material for Stowers Rd. See attached quantities schedule.

3. The 12”x10” MJ reducer and 10”x10” MJ Tee will be salvaged to the City, since they are not needed on Stowers Rd Waterline.

We need a cost per cubic yard of CDF Backfill not exceeding 100 psi in strength in the event it is needed on Heintz Street waterline.

I will forward the structural engineer recommendations when I receive them.

Based on the valving Garrett and I feel the same way that the existing 12” PVC and the two AC pipes are not connected.

Hi Hassan,

As discussed yesterday, I agree there is no room to place valve at this time. Did we determine that there is an existing cross-connections on Molalla? If so, is closing the existing valve when abandoning the lines going to create a loss of water or reverse flow situation for any nearby homes?

If determined that a valve should be placed in the future when the City is ready to address the Creamery Ck, a note should be added to the as-builts to keep record of the future need.

Hello,

Do you see a benefit in keeping the valve on the 10” line at Molalla Ave as shown. I will revise the quantities for Stowers Rd Waterline so we are not overstocking? Please let me know.

I will forward the structural engineer recommendations when I receive them.
