Hi,

I left a message with Randy letting him know that he needs to Cc: me on all communications with the City. I do not have a copy of the spreadsheet he mentions below. I also asked him to send me the original email he sent Jason with the spreadsheet. Either way I will get a copy from him or Jason.

Once the email chain is complete I will work to compile the emails into one .pdf and post them on the webpage, along with the email I sent to them on Tuesday evening.

Jason,

Thanks for the information and the tour today. Your plant is well, interesting. Definitely not a typical design by today’s standards, but your results show that you are making it work and that is what counts.

I apologize for the confusion with the guidance and the especially the data sheet. That will get some work before I ask anyone to use it.

To try to wrap this up, I made spreadsheet that will calculate the total and average seepage from the lagoons for the test period. I think this calculation is much more straightforward than using the other sheet.

Please enter the data into the yellow highlighted cells and return it to me.

And there are couple of questions that I want to verify to be sure I got them correct:

Is effluent from Lagoon 2 the total of flows for both the on-site and Off-site pumps? There are no offsite pumps.

Is "Influent" for Lagoon 1 the totalized reading from the Parshall Flume? Is there another flow meter in the system? Influent flow totals come from the ISCO flowmeter set up at the Parshall Flume. Effluent flow is received off of SCADA.

Leakage from the DAF to the aeration basin is loss from Lagoon 2 (leaves lagoon2 but does not make it to the pump meters) that then becomes unmetered gain to Lagoon 1, correct? It becomes unmetered but will cause my VFD Hz to increase to maintain my set AB level which increases flow to Lagoon #1 that isn’t raw influent.

My question about your spreadsheet: Where did you come up with the “net change for level in lagoon #1, #2 (storage, inches)”? I will return your spreadsheet when I have more time to go over your setup.

Thanks,

Jason

Thank you, again.

If you have any questions about what goes into the spreadsheet, please ask!
