Hi Heather,

What budget were you anticipating we would pay for the work out of?

Jenn,

Please see the attached bid from RB Steele Company LLC for an automated gate system at the city shops, option number three (3) is what we are interested in. This bid is considerably less expensive than the other bids from Metro Access Control and Superior Fencing for a comparable gate system.

All three companies agreed that the cantilever gate system is by far the best application for what we have down here and also by far the most secure system. I have talked with Dennis about this and he too would like the cantilever gate system, option one is not reasonable for our needs and option two is nearly the same money but requires two motors and has less security value. I have met with Molalla Fire to find out what their access requirements are in the event of an emergency (fire box, password if we go with a keypad etc) they do not care as long as they have access.

The keypad application (mounted on the fence) would be ideal for police and fire access to limit the number of remotes handed out. We've discussed and agree that the pedestal key pad is not a good idea considering the amount of bike track traffic there is and the continual maintenance likely required if backed into etc.

This does not include power to the system, I will need to contact Justin at Cherry City Electric and meet with him however there appears to be power at pole right next to existing manual gates.

If we want a fully operational battery back-up system for power out scenarios, it is approximately $2500.00 or the quick fix during power outage is to pull chain and push open manually, this requires a 3/4"

wrench.

Please let me know as soon as possible if we can proceed as this quote is only good for thirty (30) days.

Thanks!

Darren
