My name is Daro Powlison with the City of Milwaukie and I am contacting you in regards of one of your interviewees for the Laborer 1 position you have open. The potential hire's name is Robert Roggensack. I know Robert from serving a tour with him in Iraq and then after, staying close friends. I know you don’t know who I am but I know Robert. I know you may have met him for only 30 minutes or so from his interview, but he is a Solider, Husband, Father, and a great friend. A lot of time, you don’t get to see who exactly you are choosing in that process and I know Robert’s work ethic, motivation and attention to detail that will benefit your city if you choose to hire him. In knowing so, it makes writing this email very easy for me. I am giving you my word that Robert will be an outstanding employee and an asset for you and your team. Please highly consider him for the position. I could go on and on, and I know this email may be a little unorthodox but after finding out he had applied with your city, I know I had to contact you and give it my best because he is a person that is genially rare this day and age. If you decide to choose Robert, I know you will see that as being a great choice down the road. He is an outstanding person, quick study that works hard, and has been an all-around beneficial asset of any organization he has been with.
