Will you please pass along to Curtis that the City would like to continue to have a gate valve installed at the Kennel and Heintz intersection for the main to the south on Kennel. The crew can be available for potholing with a 24 hour advance notice. When I spoke to Bob on Monday, he was not sure when EE would be available to do that work.

Subject: Heintz & Kennel Ave - Water Valves
Hi Hassan,
There is a cluster of valves at the Heintz and Kennel intersection that are old and redundant. This cluster is also limiting the contractor’s ability to connect the new line without shutting the water off to two blocks down in some cases. We are meeting with EE at 8:00 AM on site tomorrow. Can you be available to review the situation? EE is hoping to make the connection tomorrow, however I don’t see it happening without a resolution.
I am potentially leaning towards adding a few valves, and removing any that need to be abandon. Hope you are able to make it.
