FYI - looks like we’re back to placing a gauging station at the bridge.

Jennifer:

The site photos would be useful. Saves a trip to document low-flow conditions.

I assume that low-flow scenario has gone with the rain. So, it will be awhile before we see the bridge apron again.

The Watermaster comments follow. But, not much can be done until we are able to observe the low-flows.

Subject: follow-up

Hi Pat,

In follow-up to our phone conversation last week, I wanted to relay where we are with the progress of T-6319.

First of all, an extension of time must be filed so that work done after October 1, 2004 will be accepted for review by the department. I have attached a copy of this form.

Secondly, a gaging station at the original POD will need to be installed to monitor flows on Trout Creek. At this time, it is likely that telemetry will be needed to meet the condition in the transfer order that requires remote access to the data. However, it will most likely be possible to move this measuring location downstream to the Trout Creek bridge on Dickey Prairie Rd.

Also, the streamflow measurements need to be in line with USGS streamflow measuring techniques. Monitoring the streamflow at the source is the main objective of the final order, so it is essential that this data is collected with as much accuracy as possible. I may be able to provide resources or assistance with this in the future.

Thanks,

Amy Kim
