Hi Rick,

Here are photos of the holes that we found in filter #1 at the Wastewater Treatment after the media was removed. Is this something your crew is capable of repairing? Couple points to note:

· This will be a confined spaced and will require a tight negotiation in the space to reach the supports.

· In addition to the repair, the City would like to have the entire subfloor painted with epoxy to minimize future failures.

If this looks like something that your team can repair. Let me know when you would like to come back out to the facility. We would like to schedule the work just after July 1.

Best,

Jason,

James and I completed the cleaning of Filter 1. I found the main leak area in the floor of the filter. The weld on one of the down brackets where the bracket base is joined to the floor has rusted completely through the metal and has pulled apart some. The opening at this spot goes through to the concrete footing below. The opening is near the center of the filter floor which would explain why we originally saw leaks on both sides of the tank. The water enters the hole then follow the gaps between the footing and the bottom of the tank until it reaches the outer edges of the tank where the water becomes visible again. I have attached some pictures to this e-mail.
