I am ordering the lights today and really appreciate the support you all are offering. Please let me know if there is a time next week I could come out and at least meet with Chief Lucich and Jennifer Cline. Jennifer Satter and I have not yet been able to meet, despite our efforts.
Jennifer Satter, I could come out to Molalla one evening next week if you like (Tues, Wed, or Thursday).
In Partnership, Tiffany

Tiffany – The Molalla City Council has fully supported the Purple Light Night campaign and Councilor Jennifer Satter is our contact person. That said, you will need to also coordinate with Police Chief Lucich and Public Works Director Jennifer Cline who are both fully informed regarding the project. Unfortunately, both Chief Lucich and Ms. Cline are unavailable tomorrow for a meeting. Please let us know other days/times you would be available for a meeting.

Subject: Domestic Violence Awareness
Good Afternoon Mr. Huff,
I am writing with the hopes you would be supportive of a domestic violence awareness activity in October. Chief Lucich referred me to Jennifer Satter, but we have had trouble connecting. I expect to talk to her on the phone in the next week.
I manage a federal grant from the Office of Violence Against Women to enhance services for domestic violence survivors in rural Clackamas County. Through this grant we have contracted for two advocates (one is bi-lingual) to serve the rural areas and have arranged for rides so survivors can access services in Oregon City. Now that we have a few things in place we want to promote them during Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October. To get people talking and bring awareness to our services we would like to participate in a “Purple Light Nights” campaign. Does Molalla decorate downtown during the December holidays? It would be something like that with purple lights.
To understand the vision more clearly here is the web site explaining it. http://www.purplelightnights.org/
The ask: Is Molalla willing to participate? I will supply all of the lights, including passing out purple light bulbs throughout the community in order to mobilize around this very important issue. Is it possible to get public works to help put up some lights? In Estacada I think the fire department (they have ladders) is going to help us put them up. Please let me know what I need to do to get assistance and approval? Would you like to schedule a meeting? I could come out tomorrow afternoon or any time on Wednesday if you have a few minutes to squeeze me in that would be terrific!
In Partnership.
Sincerely,
