WATER DIVISION MANAGER - OPERATIONS

The City of Tualatin is seeking qualified, customer service oriented candidates for the position of Water Division Manager in our Operations Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations and maintenance of the City water distribution system and the Aquifer Storage and Recovery well. The water system serves over 6,000 connections through 109 miles of pipe, 5 reservoirs and 3 pump stations feeding three pressure zones utilizing a SCADA system. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and implementing Emergency Preparedness programs for the City and will possess extensive knowledge and experience in NIMS Compliance, HAZMAT requirements and the WARN system. The successful candidate will develop and oversee special projects and programs for Water and Emergency Management. Candidates for this position will be polished and professional, with excellent communication, water and Emergency Preparedness management skills. These attributes combined with a bachelor’s degree in: public administration, engineering, or a business related field, coupled with a Grade 3 Water Distribution certification and 5 years of experience managing a water system or a satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and education may be substituted for the above. Additional job requirements will be outlined in the recruitment packet.
