Hi Hassan,

I guess I’m a bit confused with Jim’s response. Both Concrete Mix Designs indicated Required Strength of 3000 psi., unless I’m missing something here. These also should be approved by ODOT if any work is to be done within their ROW.

Yes, this is a 3500psi mix. We use these two mixes on every ODOT job we do. The only difference is these alternate mixes contain slag in place of the fly ash. Our first few pours probably will be with the first mixes I submitted. The change will happen sometime in the next few weeks.

Thanks,

Jim

Hi Curtis,

Would you make sure the concrete mix on ODOT portion is 3,500 psi strength.

Thanks,

ODOT was asking 3500 psi.

Also, will anyone be testing slump and air in the field on the formed work? I will do my best to collect a tickets to verify we are receiving what is being placed.

Curtis,

Here are alternate concrete mix designs for Molalla project. We were told today from Knife River that fly ash won’t be available in approx 2 weeks. These mixes put slag in the place of the fly ash. If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks,

Jim
