We cannot spend any of next years allocation until July 1st or later. Any purchase and/or installation this fiscal year becomes a this fiscal year expense. The budget won’t even be adopted until the earliest June 9th – and until then nothing is for sure next year. You cannot ever spend a next years allocation early – purchase date dictates when fiscal year it is categorized in, these is no wiggle room there.

Hi Heather,
When is the earliest I can spend $$ for the WWTP for next budget cycle. We have a dead AC at the effluent pump station and warmer weather approaching. I would like to have it installed at the latest by the first of June, if not earlier.
