FYI – We are sending a notice to the County Inspector that the City agrees the old irrigation meter can be used for potable water now.  We should make sure this meter is read on a monthly basis now for the apartments along Ridings.  It mostly likely not be in use until next month.

Jennifer,

I finally have the scoop on the water meter at this site. 3 months back they talked with Garrett about abandoning the sprinkler irrigation system and using that connection for feeding the meter to a different unit or units. Apparently Garrett had told him that is fine as long as, after the work is complete, the city be notified of which meters fed which units.

Now the inspector from the County needs our approval formally. Does this warrant an inspection from the City, or are we okay with authorizing this connection right away? I would like your opinion. Either way I will take care of the letter once we decide.

Thanks,

Nicolas Lennartz

The Clackamas County Plumbing Inspector, wants a letter stating that the city of Molalla is aware that the irrigation meter is now being used as a domestic meter and that the irrigation system & Double Check Backflow device is OK to be disconnected from & abandoned.

If you can get me a statement on your city letterhead stating that you are OK with that then I will forward that onto the Clackamas County Plumbing Inspector.

Please call me if you have any questions.

Thanks!!
