If the council has not received their budget documents, the council probably has not seen this Public Works CIP plan update from last year.
As you can see in the updated plan, there are some high cost water projects ahead of us. In addition, there are a few items that will be added for upcoming budget cycles, but I don’t have estimated costs for the improvements:
· River intake upgrade – Add ground wells at river to improve and maintain treatment during high turbidity river flows
· Service and Staff Vehicles – Replace vehicles in kind as they are reaching their end of use
· Reservoir Exterior Wall Improvements – Repair and refinish existing 1.2 MG and 2.0 MG reservoirs
· Security and gate improvements – Add lighting, cameras and new gate for plant
· Various water distribution lines replacements – improvements will be identified in Water Facility Plan update
· LED lighting upgrade – Plant lighting to be replaced with low energy use system
