Attachments: rd750.pdf; Hi Phil, Both driveways were failed due to apron slope (the 1’ slope at the front of the driveway entrance) exceeding 12%. Right now I am measuring apron slopes upto 22%. Please see attached Option M – Partially lowered Sidewalk on ODOT Standards Drawing RD750. The 12% is required so that lower vehicles do not scrape when pulling into the driveway. To achieve the 12%, you can increased the slopes (or steepen) the sidewalk ramps up to ~8%. They are now about 5-6%. That will lower the elevation of the 4’ wide sidewalk across the driveway, thus reducing the apron slope. Please let me know when the corrections have been made and I will be out within 24 hours to re-inspect.
