Subject: 203 N Molalla - Illegal storm connection

Hi Nicolas,

On the 19^th of May, while inspecting our storm main line on North Molalla, the CCTV contractor Pacific Int-R-Tek identified an illegal sewer lateral connection to the storm main line. After further discovery with a dye test from flushing a toilet, we identified the connection was coming from Autotech NW Auto Repair shop at 203 N Molalla Ave. The City immediately gave verbal notification to the business owner directing them to stop using their toilets and sinks. The business owner agreed and ordered a temporary port-a-potty for onsite business use. In addition, the property owner was also notified, in which he requested the original connection documents. The City does not have copies of the original connection documents. If available, these would most likely be held at the county.

At this time I have not received a work in right of way permit to correct the illegal connect and believe they have had plenty of time to do so. Please send them a letter indicating they have 30 days to connect or the City reserves the right to cease providing all services, including water.
