Good news on the Ascorbic Acid for De-Chlor. It is bucking the trend and actually down in cost. It has been volatile, and after running up very significantly, it has come down again. It looks like it is now in the sub $5.00/Lb. range, from as high as $8.50. It could go back up, but my best guess from the cycles we have seen in the last 5 years, it should stay down well into next year. I’ll keep you updated as I see more. (Remember, we could look at Liquid Calcium Thiosulfate as an alternative to Ascorbic if it makes sense.) The ACH is much more traditional and I would project about a 4% inflationary rate for your ACH and Chemical Budget. I hope that helps! I attached some Raw Material Market Driver info, that can give you some insights. Letr me know if you have any specific questions. Thanks! Regards …Jeff… Jeffrey J. Are we going to see an increase in price on ascorbic acid (Vit. C) and polymer? If so, can you provide me with that information?
