Attachments: South Coleman Ranch sec 7 flooding.docx; Gerald, we had an end cap pop off in the field at some point last night, flooding an area in Section 7, images attached. These kinds of things happen now and then apparently, but James, Jake and I all believe they are avoidable: each gun already has an onboard PLC that throws a dry contact alarm in the event the gun shuts down, loses pressure, or otherwise malfunctions. I can install a Mission Telemetry Box on each gun - the same setup we are putting on the lift stations, so the guns would be integrated with our larger network systems. In this case, the Mission would have called out to the WWTP duty phone as soon as the end cap popped off, and we would have responded within an hour or so. I need to buy one for S. Molalla Lift Station anyway, I might as well buy a second to test on a gun. They are about $2700 each if we do the install ourselves, which I’m sure I could handle. And if for some reason I’m wrong, we can use it on another lift station. Win win. Thoughts?
