Subject: Filter Alarm

Importance: Normal

Bob, had an alarm at the plant tonight: found Filter 1 in standby. Did not see anything abnormal to my eye, so I felt safe to simply initiate a manual backwash sequence and see if it started up again. It did, so I balanced the filter times and everything looks good.

I did not see the need to call Jake in for this. But we all know I’m not a certified operator and if this had been any more complicated, I would have. Please let me know your thoughts on this. I do NOT wish to break any rules or protocols around running this plant – doing it by the book is my priority. Ultimately a certified operator would be handling evening alarms, I think that’s our goal.

Jake any concerns on your part are also valid so if you’d rather have a call on each alarm I respond to, we will do that. This is a team effort.

Thank you,

Andy Peters
