Dear Procurementarians,

Our friends at Eugene Water and Electric Board (EWEB to you and me) has a free opportunity for filtration sand, which consists of silica sand in “Super Bags,”. Read the information below, as well as the specification sheet and image attached, and please contact the person mentioned below for more information.

Get the hint? Great! Thanks!

EWEB’s recent filter upgrade project resulted in surplus filter media. The media is silica sand, Effective Size: 0.45mm – 0.55mm, Uniformity coefficient: 1.50. The material is packaged in semi-bulk containers, “Super Bags,” with lifting sleeves and bottom discharge spout, containing approximately 3,000 pounds per sack and we have a grand total of 55 Tons of surplus sand. EWEB would like to donate this surplus property located at EWEB’s Hayden Bridge Water Filtration Plant: 3957 Hayden Bridge Road, Springfield, OR 97477.
