Afternoon Gerald,

Dan asked me to forward this to you from Officer Call. We had a similar

unsecure gate and some security issues a few months ago, so we want to

make sure you are in the loop.

Subject: Sewer Treatment Plant alarm

Chief, I responded to an alarm at the sewage treatment plant this am.

When I arrived I saw the yellow gate at the beginning of the driveway was

left open and unlocked. The cyclone gate was secure, so I unlocked it and

went inside.

I checked the perimeter of the main building and all the doors were

secure, however, there was about 4 or 5 windows cracked open about 3

inches. They were open enough a small bird could have flown inside and

tripped the alarm. I checked to see if I could slide the window further

from the outside and I could; I tripped the alarm again. I closed the

windows the best I could, but unless there were screens on them I could

see birds flying in and tripping the alarm again. The windows were easy

enough to slide that if I wanted to get in there, I could have. If they

want to leave the windows open for fresh air, maybe they could install

some sort of lock that would prevent them from opening so far.

There were two trucks outside and they were locked. I checked the other

two buildings where the power and generators were and the doors were

unlocked. I did not trip any alarms out there, but if someone wanted to

cause problems it would have been easy for them to shut the power off.

(not sure to what exactly)

I'm calling PW to have someone come down and secure the building.

Call me if you have questions,

Bobby
