Subject: 8/18 - DEQ Call

Importance: Normal

Hi,

I just received a call from Tiffany at DEQ today wanting to ask some questions without putting it in an email.

First she began asking to the reasoning why Coleman was using his river water rights. She was wondering if there was tensions between Coleman and the City due to the RWUP restrictions or leaky water line issues, and wondered if she “DEQ” could help in anyway with improving relations. I told her that was not the case and that Coleman was primarily switching to river water to green up his pastures for his calves. And that he is able to water his pastures continuously without restrictions to run-off and ponding restrictions. This is something we were not able to achieve this year with the exceptionally dry and extended weather along with the line repair issue that occurred on North Coleman. I reaffirmed that we have a good relationship with Coleman at this time.

Second, she asked how the leak test was going. I informed her we began that last week and I do not have any results from the test as of yet.

Third, she questioned about the Biosolids. I said that we were are on schedule to begin biosolids removal in early September the week after Labor Day.

She then said thank you for checking in with her, and the conversation ended.
