Darlene, yes, another Water Curtailment update is due for sure! Here is the text I would recommend. A readthrough from another set of eyes would be good. Thanks!

WATER CURTAILMENT UPDATE – Monday, September 13TH, 2021

Our community has taken mindful steps to use water wisely this summer and into the fall season and we want to thank you for all your efforts.

Together we have achieved an excellent result: Total usage for yesterday, Sunday September 12th, was 983,600 gallons. That is compared with a daily average of 1,267,213 gallons last September, and marks the first time September Daily Usage has dropped below 1 million gallons in many years. Thank you!

The Molalla River has been able to maintain flows greater than 40 Cubic Feet Per Second throughout the driest part of the summer, and a small chance of rain is now expected Friday through Sunday. If rains come as hoped, and river levels stay this high, the City can expect to be able to formally lifting water curtailment measures by the first part of October, in anticipation of greater fall rains.

We ask the community to continue to focus on voluntary reductions and eliminate waster waste wherever feasible. Tips on how to do this can be found at https://www.cityofmolalla.com/publicworks/page/water-conservation-tip-sheet. Thank you!
