Ginger, I found the missing water use. The Caselle Baseline Report has a simple bug, they are not picking up the meter use on Retired Water Meters that got swapped out during the period. Excluding these, I get the same total usage as you did in Caselle’s Report. This means 32,773 cubic feet moved through these meters in June, but they aren’t counted in Caselles report. That solves the mystery for us. The correct number for water use figure, then, is indeed 4,192,242 cubic feet for June. Which makes our true Total Water Loss less, and is in our favor. It DOES appear that these usages were billed for.

Okay thank you. In the raw Meter Usage Data table in Caselle shows 4,192,242 cubic feet (31,357,970 gallons) of Metered Usage, which means this baseline report supplied by Caselle is missing 107,270 gallons that passed through meters. I expect it has to do with the report Criteria: “customer.final bill is null”, which will clip off any Metered Usage record where the account closed out during the period. There are implications to that slippage for both billing and water audit, but it’s probably a rabbit hole that is not necessary to explore at this time. Agreed? Instead, we can interpret this baseline report as introducing a +/- 0.2% error into our Final Water Audit numbers (that’s the difference between using this Reports numbers, and the raw Meter Data table numbers to run the audit).

Ginger can you please confirm the total metered usage from June 1-30, 2021 shown in Caselle? I show 31,360,150 gallons. Also will you please add in the notes for Hydrant Meter 14903376 that Carter is working for the ODOT ADA RAMP Project.

Ryan, can you please confirm total production (through Totalizer Meter) from your spreadsheet for June? I show: 36,771,318 gallons.

This will calibrate us for monitoring going forward.
