Good Morning,
This morning the flow curve for the USGS Gauge Station was calibrated, adjusting the flow estimates we’ve been reporting for the previous two weeks. This is normal for gauge stations. Based on the adjusted curve, the corrected flows are shown in the graph below. The fundamental situation has not changed, only the reported flow numbers in Canby that correspond to the observed flow at our intake over the past few weeks.

Molalla Water Curtailment Update - 8/13/21 at 8:00 AM. Yesterday (8/12) the City used 1,412,000 gallons of Drinking Water. This figure compares to the 1,442,000 gallons used the previous day. Average usage over the past 7 days is 1,299,828 gallons. The Molalla River at Canby Gauge Station is flowing at 50 cfs (cubic feet per second) this morning. The Molalla River 7 day average is 54.91 cfs. The Water Tanks are full, providing roughly 2 days of storage. NOTE: The average water usage for last winter (Nov 2020 thru Feb 2021) was approximately 827,000 gallons of Drinking Water per day. Please conserve water.

From here on out I want you to reword the update as follows:

Average usage over the past 7 days is 1,280,114 gallons. The Molalla River at Canby Gauge Station is flowing at 68 cfs (cubic feet per second) this morning. The Molalla River 7 day average is 68.28 cfs. The Water Tanks are full, providing roughly 2 days of storage. NOTE: The average water usage for last winter (Nov 2020 thru Feb 2021) was approximately 827,000 gallons of Drinking Water per day. Please conserve water.
If they use over 1.5M gallons per day then you will need to change the language to “less than 2 days of storage.”
