Subject: FW: Chlorine tanks (sodium hypochlorite)

Gerald,

I have attached the tank agreement as well as the NSF approval for the new chlorine tanks. I have spoken with Peter Farrelly from the OHA Drinking Water Program and let him know of our intentions. He has given us the ok to go with the new tanks, we just need to make sure the tanks are approved for use with drinking water (see NSF approval). Please note that the tank agreement is for a 3 year period. We have had a good relationship with the chemical supplier and have no reason to believe that we would need to change supplier in that 3 year period.

Ryan,

Attached is the Tank Agreement, as far as installing the tanks with no interruption to your process we can either draw from a 55 gallon drum or use one of the totes that we will have onsite with us. We will need to pump out the existing tanks into totes and then transfer the product back into the new tanks. Attached is all the NSF information.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Layne Hancock

Subject: Chlorine tanks (sodium hypochlorite)

Layne,

We have been working with Sam Debellis on Chlorine tanks options and he mentioned that you may be taking over the Molalla area so I figured I would send this email your way. We currently have (3) fiberglass 350 gallon sodium hypochlorite tanks in aging condition. Sam had sent me some plans on poly tank options and I think the 475 gallon upright tanks would fit in our location (see attached). Sam also mentioned that Northstar would provide tanks and electronic level sensors at no cost if we sign a 3 year service agreement. Our only issue is we have 1050 gallons of total storage now with the 3 tanks so I would not want to go any smaller, so if we went with the 475 gallon tank I would like to install 3 as well. I have spoken to my Public Works Director and he as directed me to get some info on the service agreement. He needs a draft of the agreement to see that Northstar would do the install with no interruption to the treatment process, and to address any potential price increases that may occur during the 3 year service agreement. I would also need a NSF approval # on the tanks so I can notify the Oregon Drinking Water Program of our change in equipment. If you need more info from me please contact me.
