Subject: MOLALLA HWY 211-SHAVER AVE INTERSECTION WARNING 3-5-2020

Hi Gerald,

Thanks for meeting with Brad and me on February 28, 2020 at your office. I appreciated connecting with you and discussing the issues/concerns with regard to the Hwy 211/Shaver Ave intersection. Please find attached a posting we’ve put up at our truck scales in Molalla and in our drivers’ room in dispatch (where all Lemmons Trucking drivers report each day for work), for all to read. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the posting.

Separately, we appreciate the spirit of mutual cooperation we discussed during our meeting. That said, I want to make you aware of a concern I received today from Molalla. As I understand, the large rut that we discussed last week was filled today. I believe City staff did this work and shut down Shave Ave at Hwy 211. However no one advised us of this road shut down in advance. This caused significant confusion for drivers who were attempting to turn on to Shaver Ave. We would be happy to notify drivers in advance by posting information so they are aware of such closures. If possible, going forward, City staff can notify Brad Doss and me so that we can get the word out. Brad is copied in this email.

Thanks for everything,

Best regards,

James Bobst
