Yep. We looked at a gas tax and they went with the maintenance fee. They probably aren't interested in passing a gas tax and having that overturned too. When the voters overturned the maintenance fee they said to work with what we have from the state revenue. So be it.

Gerald, this came up on my news feed this week: City of Coburg Oregon gets a slice of the gas tax from non-commercial fuel sold in their town. I didn’t know that was an option for Cities. Their town is only about 1500 people, but they are on I-5, so they must be scalping the motorists driving by. It would be interesting to see how much gas is sold on the 213 corridor in town.
