Importance: Normal

It is likely because there was a parking issue with the high school and the residents around the school complained about lack of parking in front of their house. The hours of the no parking are a dead giveaway to the reasoning behind the signage. If we take them out then the students can park wherever they want. There’s nothing in the code covering parking restrictions on Francis.

Subject: Francis St

Gerald I had a call from a resident today asking me why the North Side of Francis Street is “No Parking 6am-6pm except holidays”. I’m guessing that is solely to keep kids at the high school from parking in front of peoples houses. The Curb-to-Curb distance is 40 feet. Do you have any other ideas why they might be marked no parking before I call her back?

Thanks,

Respectfully,

Andy Peters
