Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll look into that. I’ll get some cones out there.

Hi Eric,
No plans for street maintenance. The Council passed a street maintenance Ordinance and it was overturned by a citizen initiative vote. I don’t have a local one I can recommend and the ones we have calls into for that repair are backed up for months. Some aren’t even returning our calls. Sign of busy times I guess. Make sure you have cones up in the trench area until paving can happen. You may want to check with Knife River or one of the other big outfits that are working in the area. Yours is all shovel work and a peanut roller which is easy for them to do. You can do it on a Saturday if that is the only opening available. Thanks.

Thanks for that. Do you have some preferred local contractors that aren’t trying to retire off of a little asphalt patch? We’ve got a couple but the prices are always all over the place. I also notice that the whole street is pretty much trashed for probably 200 yards either direction of my project. It looks as though there are plans in place to correct an approach about 60’ away or 2 houses down. I sure would stupid filling in a patch on an otherwise past end of life asphalt street. When is other work happening on the street so that I may possibly get mine done at that time?

Hi Eric,
The concrete passed. For the paving in front you will need to clean out the garbage, roots and excess rock to provide for a 3” lift of asphalt. The asphalt can be placed in one lift (3” max) per our PW standards. They will also need to sand-seal the edges. Call or email me with paving is done so we can final the PW permit.
