Subject: Molalla Avenue Closed - Hwy 211 to Ross Street

Dan,

The State Police and Fire District are still investigating the fire across the street from City Hall. The structure is unsafe and there is debris in the roadway. Because we are not sure how long the investigation will take to complete, I am closing Molalla Avenue from Hwy 211 (Main Street) to Ross Street through the weekend. A detour is in place, additional traffic control will be added, and traffic has access around the closure via Kennel Avenue and Center Avenue. We will update the website to reflect this closure and will reassess on Monday. If the investigation is done by Monday, Public Works crews will assist the Fire Department with cleanup of the roadway and we will reopen it once it is deemed safe for the public. Thanks.
