Good afternoon,
Attached is your quote (#141201) for the pool signs we spoke about on the phone. I was unable to find any literature in the MUTCD or in the ODOT manual on including the informational plaque (in this case “POOL”) to the symbol sign. Everything I read said it was a separate sign the same width as the symbol sign.
Let me know if you have found anything different about what is accepted on those signs or if you have any questions on this quote.

Hi Chad,
Hope all is well with you. Attached is an image that I think might be the
correct use under MUTCD for the new directional signs for the Molalla Pool
District. We are working with them to get the directional signs fabricated
and installed and need to know a couple of things.
1. Is the brown and white the correct sign coloring?
2. Should the "POOL" be included under the swimming symbol or should it be
separate like the Ranger Station sign? If it can be a single sign with
borders so we only have the sign and a separate supplemental arrow sign
then that is probably preferred if less expensive.
I will need costs for the following:
. 45 MPH zone - 2 symbol signs and 2 arrow signs. These will be on ODOT
right of way.
. 35 MPH zone - 2 symbol signs and 2 arrow signs. These will be on ODOT
right of way.
. 25 MPH zone - 6 symbol signs and 6 arrow signs. 2 will be on ODOT right
of way and the rest are on our roadways.
