There are crosswalk striping “Continental” on the south and east legs of the intersection and we will be adding the same crosswalk treatment on the north and west legs of the intersection. We have to post “Traffic Control Change Ahead” signs for a period time. The cost will be in the stop signs, posts, and thermoplastic striping. The safe route is along Heintz Street connecting The High School and the Middle School. We will be moving forward quickly with this project. Crosswalk striping has been installed at Heintz and Kennel already. We will also stripe Heintz/Ridings, Heintz/Kae, Heintz/Leroy, Heintz/Grange, Heintz/Fenton, Heintz/Indian Oak, Heintz/Finney, Heintz/Cole, Cole/Shirley, Cole/Francis, Francis/High School, Francis/Debra, Francis/Molalla, Molalla/Toliver, Molalla/Shirley, and Leroy/West. Toliver Road intersections are done. We will then be looking at installing “sharrows” shared bike lane markings along select routes. Thanks. When you get a moment, could you give me some parameters on your vision for the 4 way on Heintz/N Molalla. We are applying for $1500 so maybe what signage or items we could partner with the city to complete would be helpful to include in the grant application. Also, some background on the reason for the high priority-the fatality, student peds to schools and foot traffic from low income housing to city center. I'd like to get the grant application in by October 10, 2018.
