We should cut it outside of the wet well and cap the Avison side of the pipe, remove the pipe in the wet well and grout it shut. We may be getting flow into that line in the winter so its an I&I risk. Thanks for checking that out.

Gerald, that’s a great map! Here is the view inside the lift station. Although no one here has ever seen flow from the pipe, we have no way of knowing if/how it may have been capped off in the past. We do know that at one time “capping off” meant a Cherney plug to folks around here. It may be wise to go cut this pipe off and grout seal it.
