Importance: Normal

Hi Mac,

First, the use only controls the sewer fees. Water is charged based on meter size and use.

For sewer, where we have a commercial zoned property that has both a residential use and a commercial use on it then they will get charged the higher of the two. If it is a commercial 1 use then the higher is residential. If it is commercial 2 or 3 then the commercial controls. This is an odd case and not the norm. The commercial use on the site is commercial 1 so they need to be charged the residential rate for sewer.

Ginger – Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

Subject: 221 S Molalla Ave - Sewer Connection

Hi Gerald,

The property listed above currently has two buildings operating in differing capacities. There is a home that is being used as a residential structure, and an out building being used as a commercial structure. Both are serviced by city water and sewer, and both have restroom facilities (and more). They are currently being billed as a commercial sewer user (Ginger, correct me if I’m wrong on that), but should be billed as the higher residential user. Just wanted to bring this to your attention so we can get it changed if needed. Thank you!
