Subject: Fwd: Dump Station

Good morning Mr. Peters,

I am reaching out on behalf of the Molalla Moose Lodge in regards to our RV Sanitation Site. I am the Current Governor of the lodge and I report to Rick Reed which I understand you have reached out to in regards to shutting down our RV Station. This email is a plea on behalf of our membership to allow us to leave this station open. I thought maybe if you knew a little more about our membership, the benefit this station provides to our members and how the station is managed; you may find it not only in your professional opinion but your personal as well to make an exception for our community.

First of all I would like you to know that we have a little over 700 members. Of that membership we believe less than 1% use the station. The importance of this station to those that do use it is huge.We have members that are forced for financial, physical or personal reasons to live in their RV. We have disabled members and veterans alike that count on this free service. Those members likely will have to find different housing or worse possibly go homeless if this station should shut down. I'm sure your aware of our housing crisis as we all are. Our lodge, although not a huge entity does everything in our power to assist families and seniors alike in any and all needs we can assist in. This is a small offering we can provide that costs our non profit organization little to no funds but yet has a monumental impact on some of our members.

The normal day to day running and security of this station are very closely monitored. We can not afford to have the wrong sort of people using this station as we take the chance of damage or clean up fees. As you can see by the photo sent there are specific days and times set. Furthermore the lid is locked with a key that is under a combination which is changed on a consistent basis. We have only three servers along with a small board of officers that are allowed this code. The code is only changed by our administrator Rick Reed. Along with these safety nets the individual that uses the station is required to sign in and out. Only members are allowed to use this station. We would offer you our log book as proof to the amount this station is used and the number of members that use it.

In closing sir,I would like to add that personally I have been a member of this lodge since 2015 along with my wife which is currently the Senior Regent. We along with many other members have very busy lives. That stated we feel it is important to give back to the community that supports our family. In our short time in Molalla moving here in 2013 with our five children have we ever been a part of or seen an organization so dedicated to its community, children and seniors. With the issues at hand in this country it is a breath of fresh air to have such a group of people like this. To take any benefit away from these folks in our humble opinion is a travesty if it can be avoided. We look to you Mr. Peters to help us keep one more positive in our community.

Thank you,
