Hmmm. I need to think thru this since we are potentially introducing grease, oil, and other contaminant into the sewer system and our plant may not react well to it. This swings us potentially into industrial pretreatment category. Need to talk to our internal folks on possible impacts so we do this right and don’t have issues with the WWTP or DEQ. Thanks Mitch.

Subject: MRM Oil/Water separator in Truck Shop
We have a separator system manufactured by Water Maze; model Alpha 1500-D along with, sumps, pumps and a carbon filter in the final process of clarifying which has been working quite well in connection with our hot water pressure wash system for our truck repair, which is outside the shop. It has been discharging to our stormwater system, but DEQ wants us to remove it for fear it could give us issues of contaminants in the storm water stream to Bear Creek.
What would it take to obtain permission to discharge this into the sanitary sewer system of Molalla?
I can tell you this system is regularly maintained monthly by Landa Northwest, who sold and installed the system. I could provide you all the details.
