Attachments: 0716181431a.jpg; 0716181516.jpg; Folks, 227 Hauser Ct paid their water bill this afternoon, but when turned the meter on we found they have a plugged lateral, and sewerage began spilling from the house-side cleanout. It looks like this has been going on for a long time, there is sewerage all over the yard. We left the water off with a door hanger explaining the situation. Finance does not have contact information for this customer. After talking it over with the dept heads available we decided the Customer is likely responsible for this overflow (not the City) and should have their lines jetted before we turn them back on. As I said, the yard has sewerage all over it, and we recommend beginning enforcement action to have them clean this up (and lime treat) in the interest of public health. Photo attached.
