Okay Martha we’ve made a decision, here is the basic layout we’ll be going for. Can you give us an official quote for the pieces and parts we will need?

Thanks,

Hi Andy,

I’m thinking that we should do one Merry Musical and two (if it will fit or one if not) of the Deco Spring Rider. We will want them to be set at a height so we can upgrade the fall protection in the future. Use existing structures as a guide. Let me know what the cost will be. Thanks Andy for looking into this.

Gerald, in response to my email that we were going to have to remove the Spring Toys in Long Park you asked that I get you options for replacement equipment. I contacted Gametime, and below is a wonderful set of options, including basic layout. We don’t have a parks committee that I’m aware of, so I suppose it falls to staff to choose equipment? If you are too busy for this right now that’s fine, we can table it until this information is required.

Hi Andy,

I’ve attached the Google Earth Image I pulled up and also did some rough placement of a couple of options in the space.

With he limited space these are not all the most inclusive pieces in terms of physical access. But many are very inclusive based on the sensory offerings. The prices below represent each piece priced at the US Communities purchasing contract with freight added.

These are currently on sale, and all are inclusive:

These would be options that area ground level and wouldn’t require a use zone. They would all be inclusive:

This would be great inclusive piece but might require more space – I’d need to get some good measurements to see:

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Martha, thanks! The 3 small spring-toys being replaced are in the image attached. This is in LONG PARK in Molalla Oregon. Our City Council would just like some options for what we might put back in their place. I’m not sure what the budget would be, but we might need to give them a range: what would are $3,000, $8,000 and $15,000 option be (assuming we’ll need to bring a concrete sidewalk into the area). And yes, that is Pea Gravel you see as the fall protection layer! I’m aware of the issues with that. There is little stomach to replace it right now because they’d rather do it as part of the next large expansion to the park. That said, this conversation may provide some catalyst. Does this all make sense? Thanks!

Hi Andrew

I am the Design Consultant for GameTime in Oregon. I received your inquiry about some ada features. I have lots of ideas for small improvements you can make to your parks. I have a few questions, though.

What types of things are you removing and are you looking to replace them with similar activities?

Ages? 2-5 or 5-12

What kind of space do you have to work with?

What kind of budget?

Thanks!

Martha
